THE JACOB GENERATION

Hello Everyone,

April and May 2021 were one of the toughest months of my Life but in all God has been faithful. (Amen to that)

I now attend THE NEW CHURCH (An expression of Kingsword International ministries) and its been an awesome journey. We had a Conference recently; #NextConference and it was all shades of fire.

Out of the plenty scriptures shared, this one caught my attention (which is funny because this whole chapter is a Sunday school recitation)

“This is the generation of those who diligently seek Him and require Him as their greatest need, Who seek Your face, even [as did] Jacob. Selah.” Psalms‬ ‭24:6‬ ‭AMP‬‬

This verse aptly describes what our generation can be.

It describes my greatest desire and longing.

I am at a point where all I just ask for is more of God.

I don’t want to miss God and miss everything He is doing in this time.

Truly a generation is rising and we are the Jacob generation.

A Generation that seeks God and God alone.

A Generation that will not bow to the gold statue in Babylon (Even in the face of being burned alive)

A Generation that will not be distracted by social media and popular Opinion.

A Generation that is ready to serve God on the mountain of Sacrifice and discipleship.

A Generation that will diligently seek God; A JACOB GENERATION

I left that meeting with a deep hunger for God. Since then, I have fought distraction with my blood and sweat. Sometimes I win and sometimes I do not , but I will keep fighting.

We have to seek God by ourselves

“Seek GOD while he’s here to be found, pray to him while he’s close at hand.” Isaiah‬ ‭55:6MSG

He desires deep koinonia with us and he is calling us to come up higher.

Oh Jacob knew how to lay hold on God, he did not let that angel get away until he was blessed.

“So Jacob was left alone, and a man wrestled with him till daybreak. When the man saw that he could not overpower him, he touched the socket of Jacob’s hip so that his hip was wrenched as he wrestled with the man. Then the man said, “Let me go, for it is daybreak.” But Jacob replied, “I will not let you go unless you bless me.” The man asked him, “What is your name?” “Jacob,” he answered. Then the man said, “Your name will no longer be Jacob, but Israel, because you have struggled with God and with humans and have overcome.” Jacob said, “Please tell me your name.” But he replied, “Why do you ask my name?” Then he blessed him there. So Jacob called the place Peniel, saying, “It is because I saw God face to face, and yet my life was spared.”Genesis‬ ‭32:24-30‬ ‭NIV‬‬

We must also learn to diligently wait on God and seek His face on everything that concerns us. We must have staying power oh.

“God conceals the revelation of his word in the hiding place of his glory. But the honor of kings is revealed by how they thoroughly search out the deeper meaning of all that God says.” Proverbs‬ ‭25:2‬ ‭TPT‬‬

Gone are the days of living off Sermons from preachers.

Gone are the days of replacing your personal devotion with congregational online prayers.

Reading your devotionals should also not replace proper bible study.

We are the generation that seek God through His word, through protracted prayers , fasting and worship.

Love and Revelational Light,

YJ

PS: This Post sat in my draft for a long time before I got the release to share it. As much as I will love to post more often, we only obey the master as He commands ( As a diligent soldier in the Lord’s army, WE DO NOT BREAK RANKS)

  1. Yes, DILIGENTLY SEEKING….
Indeed, its a revelation…The Lord is truly raising an army in our generation. Just few minutes ago, God was ministering to me in my quiet time that, it is TIME to leave my hiding and comfort zone as He (the owner of my life), wants to use it o. Its a call to let go of SELF and be ready to carry my cross daily and follow Him. Grace Lord🙏🙌.
Thanks for the piece my dearest sis.

P.S I dnt receive email notification after subscribing o.Maybe there’s something I need to do that am not doing🙂
