2020 was supposed to be a better year considering the fact that 2019 was one of the most horrible year of my life.

It was supposed to be my bounce back year and all but now I know that when God wants to really finish you (permit my language) he does it well.

God be like” you must die to this flesh”

Anyways I am here for it.

I sat down one day analyzing how everything that can go wrong in this Life has gone wrong especially in the world and this Scripture dropped in my heart.

“God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved: God shall help her, and that right early.” Psalms‬ ‭46:5‬ ‭KJV‬‬

The Crux of the matter is that no matter what you are going through God is with you.

I needed to make that big because if you are like me you will need to read it in big fonts.

So let me back up a bit, after all that happened last year I was ready for a new beginning (If you are new here, you can start here to get more context).

I had the victim mentality for a while especially with God and oh how He babied me as a good Father that He is.

I entered 2020 with the same mentality but I think Daddy was done with playing babysitter. Don’t get me wrong I will always be His baby girl for live because He loves us with an everlasting love but it was also time to grow up and man up.

I wasn’t ready for 2020 and all its gbasgbos drama so I knew when God dropped that scripture in my heart He wanted me to Glean more from it.

Prior to now, I thought I had healed but quarantine made me see that I just covered my grief with work. I never really dealt with it, So when Lockdown was initiated Baba started unravelling everything.

When God wants to really deal with you (once again excuse my Choice of word) he will Isolate you. That was what he did to me.

I had to stop seeing myself as a victim of my circumstances and started seeing that I am a Daughter of Zion, I may go down but I don’t stay down.

I was chatting with one of my friends and I told him that all the tears I didn’t cry when Dee died, I let it out during the Lockdown. That was when I started seeing that pain has an assignment.

The fire is not comfortable but it is for a greater weight of glory. Whatever you are going through has a large part to play in the scheme of things.

For people that God wants to take through fire so he can refine them, all I will say is that let him have his way. STOP GOING AROUND THE FIRE.

He is right there with you even in the fire and mess. You shall not be moved only if you allow him to be in the midst of you.

So 2020 has not gone as planned

Its already June and you have not made that big break or it seems like someone has pressed pause in your Life.

You got laid off from work because of the bad economy or you got a pay cut.

You lost a loved one maybe to Covid-19.

You are going through so much and you are starting to rethink “this Faith thing”

I have news for you; GOD IS IN THE MIDST OF YOU.

This Faith thing is not just a thing, IT IS REALITY.

This is not just a message of hope, it is reality at least it is my own reality.

The devil has really tried to mess up with our minds this year but you need to join hands with God and show him who the boss is.

I read on someone’s status recently that “Do not be afraid” appeared in the bible 365 times that means we have one for each day. We wake up and we legit confront our fears because God is with us.

This season ehnnn, the Holy spirit is my new Bae and everything. We are rocking this season together oh. Please make Him yours too.

The bible is my best companion because it just soothes my soul and builds my spirit. So when the enemy comes as like a flood (like he has done plenty times this year) I raise the standard of the word against him remember you can’t give what you don’t have.

I don’t back down and run with my tail between my legs. I lay hold of His promises and start to declare.

Stop giving the enemy the power he does not have.

Some people, because they closed the churches they also closed their personal altar too. When bible says expressly that the fire on the altar must not go out.

Please Repent because it is through Intimacy you will know that no matter what, God is with you.

So contrary to the statement I made earlier, 2020 is a better year despite all that has happened and is happening.
